We just added an article to the site about the enhanced experience of ghost hunting using an EVP recorder.

EVP recorders are used to record, store and analyze evidence gathered during a ghost hunting investigation. The very cool thing you may not know about these recorders though is that often voices or sounds emitted during the investigation were not audible but when the recording is amplified and analyzed in the evidence room, these sounds are picked up.

You can read the article in its entirety, however, if you are interested in buying EVP recorders for your next investigation, you can find them in our Ghost Hunting Equipment Store.

I just published an article that explains what an EMF Detector is and details the different types of EMF Detectors.

In the article you will learn the difference between a single-axis and tri-axis detector. While the single-axis detector is cheaper, it can not perform several of the functions of the tri-axis detector and this lesser capability could cost the ghost hunter to miss an ‘event’.

In my experience, mistakes tend to get made when using a single- axis EMF meter. When you direct the meter to a certain part of the room you must make sure that correctly identifying the field’s orientation, if you have not correctly established this with your single-axis EMF meter you could get false readings.

Having a tri-axis emf meter will help solve any type of false readings from not correctly orienting the position of the meter. This is possible, as the emf meter will take three readings in perpendicular directions and combines them to give an average reading.

While with the right techniques and a quality single axis emf meter you can still achieve good results, I always like to go with the three-axis emf meter to make sure my readings on the fly are accurate.

If you are prepared to buy a detector, we have chosen a full line of both single-axis and tri-axis EMF detectors to choose from in our Ghost Hunting Equipment Store.

As you will read in the article, a gauss meter is a useful piece of equipment for ghost hunters because the meter catches the electro-magnetic fields that are found throughout a home, or anywhere you think there might be some energy worth checking out and reveals the electro-magnetic data in easy- to- read scales that let you know the amount of mG’s being measured, as well as an audio signal that goes off when the EMF rating increases.

Today we are talking about how to ghost hunt and how to use Electronic Voice Phenomenon or EVP.

The giant voice phenomenon is the practice of ghost hunters of tried to actual record the voices of ghosts and spirits. If there are some furious of one furious they are able to manipulate the molecules in the air to create five frictions that record to the microphone the other furious that select to magnetic, somehow they elect the info magnetic filaments that aside all microphones directly. One thing we didn’t know is a Phenomenon that happen acts to microphone that it record itself. Is all we encourage people to use whatever possible external microphones. Especially whether use their tape recorder that is taking and reset recorder has tears and you know other devices inside of it they could be heard directly on to the tape if you use it to turn a microphone. This is also something to happened with micro set recorders. Now the micro set recorder we set the same level of audio good quality but with power package. But make sure you purchase one it has this microphone jack for your external microphone. Now lately, most people have start switch to using digital recorders that trying to record EVP. This digital recorder is very heavy; it is very convenient as well. It plugs directly into a laptop or desktop computer for purpose of listening to your audio and further use of software. It has a USB port which allows you to plug it right here to desktop or laptop directly in all fly and all you have to do is attach it to any cable.

Now conducting and EVP session we use this called S technique which was developed by organization of few years ago. It stands for alone, it supervised questions and answers. In the first place of it, we literally record by itself we leave the property sometimes go something to eat and go back to see if we got anything on the tape or digital for that. During the second phase is stand by phase if the box recorder was see the low red light placed on it, it means it dedicate records that a voice or sound is big recorded. During the session, we also see everything is happen in the room or the property were us we getting. Wow, let’s try and record the EVP.

The file sessions of all questions and the answers which we actually ask questions in the environment near the recorder, let’s hear responses from the ghost. Questions, you tend of all things that related by dead the way, some ghost things, and some ghost investigators them dead. Ghost did not necessary know that they’re dead; they exist, where they lived, where they are not aware the fact that they’re you have the sees or move on to different form. In these cases, we try to ask questions that are pretending ghost dead. You’re going to ask question like; how do you die? Didn’t hear when you are stand to the back. So stick the question like; Are you married? How old are you? What is your favorite news paper? To bother ghost you can also ask questions like; what is your favorite TV Show? Make sure that you leave tease enough gaps between each question to allow for the answers to be recorded. Perhaps, if you body capture twenty, you ask a question what year is it. Wait 20sec yourself, and then ask another question, if you have a group of individual with SQD questions, have them raise your hand before you ask questions, so that they don’t talk to each other the same time.

Well as a basic of trying to record Electronic Voice Phenomenon, coming up next we are talking about how to use video.

Okay, I’m gonna show you some of a tools that I used on a ghost hunting. I’m your certified paranormal investigator. I am certified who former in college, which is located in a second middle California. It’s a College of Paranormal Studies. And here are some of the tools that I used on my investigations. I currently run a paranormal research and ghost hunter society as central.

Okay, I’m gonna show you first, first I’m gonna show the first trait in a protector that I used which is this one, this one, and this one. EMF stands for, “Electro Magnetic Field” in the theories; they wanna in spike this into a high numbers on investigations. It’s a good chance you have paranormal activity in this ramming area. Nothing in mind that this is also pick up electronic devices such as television sets and microwave ovens but if you’re on investigations and you know that there’s no TVs on or microwave running or you need devices nearby in this result they tele go into a high numbers and that means you have a good chance of paranormal activity. Some most, I will show you some here, it is just the basic EMF detectors, very cheap model I think it cost $11 but very effective. I’m gonna take it to microwave to show you how it works.

Alright, as you can see this one here, it has three lights on it. The green has the safe zone, the yellow’s cautions, and the red is danger and of course on investigations, if it goes up into the red area that means that you have a high. So I’m gonna turn it on, and as you can see it has it’s on a safe zone right now. So put in here in front of the microwave and turn the microwave oven on. And as you can see it’s in the danger zone, very good model. Okay, I’m gonna show you the next one.

Okay, this next one is called the “Ghost Meter”. And this one cost about $39, forty boxes but it works the same way so let’s go to microwave and show you how this one works. Okay, we will turn it on, as you can see, it is in the middle which is the safe zone right now. I’m gonna turn on the microwave, so that’s the very good detector right there.

Okay, this next one I have is my most expensive model, it’s called the “Paranormal Detector” and this one cost around a hundred and seven five box. And it’s a try access senses which is means it picks up a paranormal activity this place on the front and the both sides. Okay I’m gonna show you how it picks up on the front. So let’s take this one into the microwave oven. Alright, then turn this one on. I usually adjust it to D which is about a hundred places to set it and turn it over here. As you can see it goes to a test first and then it goes down to the safe zone. Okay, I’m gonna open the microwave, as you can see, the high bit is in the high numbers. Well, this is a very good model. And this one also here has a filter but not, which means if you set it to filter it use to discriminate against microwaves and TVs it won’t pick things up like that. And of course it is difficult in the high numbers and filters have a paranormal activity.

Alright, the next thing I wanna show you are the emotion detector which is right here. And this is the little device that arms it. On investigations you can see this on the floor, or on a table, and if a spirit or ghost watch past it and it set it off then you know that you have something, so I wanna go ahead in arm at now. So I just want to show you something black past it (hands passing) looks very well. Well there it goes. When a ghost hunter use this tool a lot and it seems pretty effective. I’m gonna use this arm it (put in front). And I’m gonna show you the next time that I used. This is the most for every paranormal investigator; it is a coint and suite thermometer and just point if to whatever you want. Check the temperature on and now you will just see red lights to everyone. Check the thermometer is on and the temperature. But this is use for pick up cotes. To determine if there’s ghost or spirits try to manifest it self you will drop energy in this running area. And that will turn into cold spots, so this is a good tool to use.

Next I’m gonna show you is a basic tape recorder for capturing EVPs. EVP stands for “Electronic Voice Phenomenon”. Just put some tape in there put it on record and you can ask questions such as; what is your name? How old are you? Why are you here? But this is good to pick up somebody’s voices and it works very well.

Of course, every investigators needs a camera, this is a 35 millimeter camera which works very well. These use to pick up, or special vapors, which are holding the camera as excellence and so our digital camera so that is the most for every paranormal investigator. And of course, a camcorder is the most, like what I am holding. I have a mini DVD camcorder and I have night vision on it. So that is extremely essential to have one of those. And of course every paranormal investigator needs a flashlight. It is just a basic flashlight. This right here is Light Sage and its use for centuries to ghost houses of different identities. It’s gonna use to a last resource but it’s very effective most paranormal investigators, or higher somebody.

Anyway, that’s some of equipment that I use on investigations and I hope you enjoy watching this and good luck; I’m your ghost investigations and well, see you later.

I recently received exchanged emails the owner of the hotel called “Olle”. And then, I received information I cause for hunting. He told me on how the hotel’s previous owner and also a Former Post Master. Paul has past away inside of the hotel. And how she had a reason visit by a Physic, and phones her that two people has to decide on staying inside the hotel. We are invited to stay here tonight and find out what the Physic has told her was it indeed the case. I was told the Olle Hotel to inspect in early 1800s just like the town stylish service for the boarding for the rail roof. In the midnight, in 20s the Olle’s purchase the building, and converted it into a hotel. After her husband died and Ms Olle is continue to handling the hotel and told her dead on 1964. He was 88 years old and found dead in the bath tub is now room 4.

We are eager to find out whether or not a team to get an evidence to support the Physics plans. It is great to spend the night in our reservations and a team has 70 miles South East Austin in town of Antonio. Upon of arrival we started touring the Olle hotel. It has a two storey break building with a Porch inside division building where added back on the Olle’s hotel. It has ten rooms, five upstairs, and five downstairs. I reserve room 4 and room 1 for fourth floor. We excited in settling equipments and consisting of two stationary mini cameras and recording to our notebook computers. There will be okay in a room four and in room one. We also place a station in camera and a voice recorder in the bathroom of room four, which is where the bathtub Ms Olle has past away, is located. We also place a voice recorder in room one. Turning investigation, each of us has KV Camera and one voice recorder in division into other equipment. We got a very good chance to capture on camera. So at 10pm we will begin our search.

Bill and I decided to start our investigation in the upstairs front bedroom.

Billy: Can you close the bathroom door? Can you make one of the fans please open?
I’m inviting you to talk to us. I’m inviting you to come and sit with us, relax, and come sit here come to bed, on the side. I’m your friend Bill and I’m happy to, let you sit down here. I hear you response. Is that you? Would you come here and sit with me?

Jeff: Check on it, check on it, come back. My hair feels like tingerly, my hair.
Could you do that again? Give me an assassination again. Could you come and sit in here in the bed with me? I wanna feel relax and feel you over there. Just prop your self up. Relax and just have a little bit conversation with us.

Can you tell me what’s your name is? Oh it’s cold yo..

Billy: Yeah, it’s cold out here.

Billy and I were experiencing a cold spot it seems to linger at the edge of the bedroom. A cold spot is basically a point in a room where the air is no specific colder than the rest of the ambiance in the room.

Our belief is that, when the spirits enters or force somebody, stay in a particular spot for too long. The air in the area where they’re occupying begins becomes colder and colder as they stays longer and longer. The best way to describe a cold spot is taking your hand in a place inside the refrigerator. That’s a kind of colder we are talking about.

Billy: I have hear a nail carrier who wants to stay here, living in this hotel, so if you hear, you are welcome. Come and sit with us, talk to us, is that true? Sir you can give us a message, if it’s hard for here if you want us to be with us. You can answer all types of questions of this flash; it has a certain amount of lights. It will make flash if your answer is yes. Are you a male? Did you stay in this hotel? Did you live in this hotel? Did you died here in the hotel?

Jeff: Later in the evening, we decided to split up. I had to do in the dining room to begin back to EVP session and also take some pictures. Is this your hotel? Did you go to this hotel? Do know this place? Do you know her?

Now if you want to get a little more serious about your paranormal phenomenon investigations what you can do is you can acquire a detail report. Now, what you do with this is turn your ghost hunt you would actually start speaking as you want to ghost hunt and start asking questions. Is there anybody here? What’s your name? Etc. And what you are looking to capture when you are using a digital recorder is EVPs that is Electronic Voice Phenomenon. The analogies are use for this is like dog is shouted that we don’t. Well, the same way that you can’t hear the sound is the reason for that is, is because you would be insane, you would be out of your mind. But, when you use a digital recorder and you’re go back home and you download it, it is time consuming, but you listen and you listen and it’s a great possibility when you ask a question, What’s your name? You may get the answer. You might hear “Carl”. Wow. That’s Electronic Voice Phenomenon. You might be barking, you might be screaming, you might be a little child crying, but you’re captured it, on a digital recorder.

Now, if you want to get really serious about your ghost hunting, you take up one of this. This is actually a try field meter. But what it is is an Electro Magnetic Field Meter. There’s all kind you can buy, you can buy some that would just pick up a battering test, microwave, energy, magnetic energy, and electric energy and radio signals. But try field meter you can adjust the sum that will disregard and the electromagnetic energy from televisions, radios, etc. And realizing this product it picks up electromagnetic energy that should not be there and once the meters hit anywhere from two points out of the seven points out, don’t be afraid because this is what you using for. Start pictures in directions that are if you want to make real serious. This device can cost over $300. And you know what, well worth it. Take digital camera and you get that one photograph with ectoplasm or a light energy on it. Look at my captures and submit your photograph to me for my review. Number one rules of ghost hunters real ghost hunters you’re in biggest cap tics. If there’s any doubt in your mind, you have to disregard it. But if there’s no doubt, your real capture. So again, I really appreciate, you go out and hunt some paranormal phenomenon at surrounds you everyday all the time. And submit your photographs to me. And if you deal them, the real deal I will post them.

Be prepared! That is what soldiers are taught day in and day out. The same principle applies to a ghost hunter also. When you go to a ghost hunt, you must make sure that you have the right ghost hunting equipment with you; otherwise your mission will be a bust.

Digital or film cameras are needed when you go ghost hunting. You use it to take photos of manifestations of paranormal activities. Make sure you have plenty of batteries and films if you use a film camera or a memory card/memory stick if you are using a digital camera.

If you have extra budget, a thermal camera works best in a ghost hunt, but it’s expensive. There are also some pre loved thermal cameras available. You can find them at discount ghost hunting equipment vendors.

Electronic voice phenomenon or EVP’s are captured with the use of an audio voice recorder. You can opt for a cassette voice recorder or digital voice recorder to be part of your ghost hunting equipment. Digital voice recorders are way better than audio cassette recorders in terms of quality and amount of storage, not to mention the portability of the device.

Cold spots are usually found with the use of a digital thermometer. It is very handy ghost hunting equipment that is used to pinpoint the areas almost exactly where the ghost manifests.

An EMF or electromagnetic field can be discovered with the use of an EMF detector, but if it is way out of your budget, then, you can use dowsing rods as an alternative.

Of course, your ghost hunting equipment can never be complete without a flashlight. If you really want to have great lighting equipment with you during your ghost hunt, I would highly suggest that you get an LED headlight with you, which will let you free your hands to do other stuff.

Have your ghost hunting equipment with you when you go ghost hunting so that you can verify the paranormal; account you are investigating. All your evidences can only be gathered with the ghost hunting kit you bring with you.
